About Multi-Level Marketing / Network Marketing

Multi-level marketing, also called MLM or network marketing, is a type of marketing formation wherein sellers and promoters of company products are compensated not just for their sales, but for the sales of individuals they have introduced to the company. For example, Bob may join a company and make sales personally, resulting in a commission of $100. However, if he has also signed up a friend of his (Joe) underneath him, he will receive commissions on Joe's sales as well. These marketing platforms may work for numerous levels. Using the above example, if Joe then signed up Sally to join the company, both Joe and Bob would get commissions based off Sally's sales. Much of multi-level marketing is done through word of mouth and the salespersons' personal contacts.
